About UTC Converter

A simple, fast, free tool for working across timezones.

What is it?

UTC Converter is a single-page tool that does two things well:

  • Shows a visual 24-hour ruler for UTC, GMT and your local timezone, with a draggable indicator so you can see what "3pm UTC" really means everywhere at once.
  • Lets you line up the working hours of up to five people in different timezones, so you can pick a meeting time that doesn't ruin anyone's morning or night.

Who is it for?

Anyone who works with people in other parts of the world: distributed teams, freelancers, support staff, friends and family on different continents, and anyone who has ever miscalculated "is that AM or PM their time?"

How it works

The site runs entirely in your browser using vanilla HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Time conversions use the Intl.DateTimeFormat API built into modern browsers, so the data is always up to date with the latest IANA timezone rules (including daylight saving transitions).

There is no server, no account, and no database. Your timezone choices and scheduler entries stay on your device.

Cost

The tool is free to use. The site is supported by a small number of unobtrusive ads served by Google AdSense. If you'd like to know more about how those work, see our Privacy Policy.

Feedback

Bug reports, feature requests and friendly notes are all welcome on the Contact page.
